About Alan Simpson Photography
Professional Photographer In Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
I grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan playing sports, spending time with friends and being a teenager. My first camera (35mm Leica) and dark room film set-up came from my father. I took classes in high school, led the Photography club, read photography books, etc. I knew Photography was a part of me. After academic twists and turns, I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Communications.
I wasn't always a photographer...
Later, a marketing career and a terrific family pulled me away from my camera. I picked it up again years later when things really went digital in the early 2000's. As a "Parent Photographer", I took pictures of my kids playing lacrosse and rowing . Soon, I couldn't put the camera down and the rest is history. It hasn't been easy but my photography business is taking off thanks to great reviews and happy customers....
